January 25, 2022A very warm welcome to our new team member, Ruth Avierinos!
Ruth is a qualified audiologist, she completed her Bachelor of Audiology degree with distinction at the University of Pretoria during 2020. She also served as head girl at Cornwall Hill College during her matric year in 2016.
Ruth received the ASAIPA National Medical Health Science student award in 2020 and is currently busy completing her master’s degree through the University of Pretoria.
Ruth, during her student years started a Non-profit organization, FaithEars, where we try to allow children with a hearing loss feel loved by donating a HopeTeddy, a teddy with a hearing aid to provide them with comfort and support.
As a practice we have known Ruth since her student years after she did some University practical’s at the practice and we are excited that she has joined us. We truly see in her the qualities that we strive to as practice and we know that she will be a valuable asset to our practices!
Ruth says:
When I am not working, I love being active and participating in any sporting events. I did my first 120km Adventure race when I was 13 years old. One of my sporting highlights is representing South Africa at the world Championships for Obstacle course racing in London in 2019. I am really excited at the opportunity of working at such a wonderful practice.
